The litigation support service of Gerry Rea Partners is limited only by the requirement, that the work we undertake has an accounting or economic element.  We are normally called upon by Barristers or Solicitors to provide financial reports which may or may not require our appearance in Court as expert witnesses.

The work generally falls under one of three principal areas:

Business Valuations

We can undertake the valuation of listed or privately owned businesses or partnerships. Valuations can also be sought in respect of brand names or intellectual property.

Matrimonial Property

This accounting discipline traditionally embraces such matters as fraud investigations, economic loss assessments, negligence claim evaluations, due diligence reviews, and the verification of financial claims.

Our commitment to regular reporting on engagements can also eliminate many of the concerns that might otherwise arise.

The expert witness may be called upon to submit evidence on any of the above areas.  The task is specialised, requiring extensive research and preparation.  The work requires that the witness is able to prove himself appropriately qualified to act.  Our partners have all undertaken such work and are recognised as specialists in their areas.
